We bought a 24Qt Ice-Cream freezer from Emery Thompson Machine & Co. the unit is supposed to put out 16500 BTU of cooling at 0F Evap and 105F condensing at 60HZ. We ordered a machine for 50HZ, and they seemed to have miscalculated and given us an undersized compressor.
I need to understand what is the conversion factor one has to keep in mind when converting 60Hz to 50Hz The original compressor is supposed to be 3.25 HP, what we have is not working in the application and is resulting in extremely long freezing times.
This is a 25,000 USD machine!
