Hi,
We are developing a modern food truck in hopes of running our food service equipment on solar power. I've come across some articles on the WHO using solar refrigeration to transport vaccines to underdeveloped regions of the world, but this goes beyond our needs.
We have just sent a request out to a number of solar companies, but would still be interested in hearing Reddit's thoughts:
-
Is there a commercial model of solar-powered refrigeration available?
-
If not, what are the primary challenges to powering a small refrigerator via solar? Let's say we are looking at a unit that has stated operating specs of 115v/6.6a/759 watts, for 8,349 watts a day given 11 hours of operation.
Thanks!
