Commercial upright freezer producing heat.

First of all, sorry to be 'that guy' who is new to the forum and has almost no idea about refrigeration! I've picked up a vertical freezer which is an earlier model of a Bromic UF0374S. There is a link below. It was on the side of the road and someone had removed the mains/AC plug. Now, seeing that the plug was cut, I knew it was unlikely to work at all but after fitting a new plug the unit turned on, the light works and all the seals were good!

After 30 minutes or so I came back to check the internal temperature which had risen above ambient temperatures. The fridge was sitting at 20c (68f) whilst it was 12c in the room (53f).

Is there anything obvious that would make a freezer heat up like this? Thanks!
