In my fridge, milk spoils within a day or less. In my freezer, ice cream and bread products get freezer burnt in a day or less - vegetable products turn into a block of ice over time.
I've had a maintenance guy look at it and tell me there's nothing technically wrong with the fridge. My next guess is that I need to disinfect it or something along those lines. The internet is giving me mixed information. Some websites said it was okay to use bleach or ammonia - other websites say that's dangerous. Some websites say that a vinegar/water mixture will do a perfect job - other websites say you need to use that among other steps... such as following it up with borax and hydrogen peroxide.
Several other places keep talking about checking the temperature. I doubt it's that but I have a thermometer in there right now. If the fridge isn't cold enough for the mix, decreasing the temperature will make the freezer problem worse. Any other suggestions would be great... this is getting to be a headache.
