Fridge making constant noise (video included).

Hello all,

My new apartment came with a two year old frost free BlomBerg k60320hu / BRFB1152SSN. Around a month after moving in (early August) I started noticing excessive noise that runs for a ratio of 50 minutes per hour, especially evenings and night when I'm home, the ten-minute respite is when the compressor is off.

It's not the evaporator fan in the freezer, not the compressor, it seems to come from inside the walls, the evaporator coils or the heater or condenser fan (which isn't at the bottom or visible)

Here's the best video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/THKQvTC3heu4wrz9A (I've got several more here)

Other notes:

  • I've tried a four day shut off - door open defrost a few times.
  • There is consistent ice on the fridge backboard at both 3 and 4 out of 5 setting.
  • The items do get cold in the fridge but it's not consistent, maybe sign of a prolonged defrost cycle?

Someone in another subreddit said it could be refrigerant gas and in that case there's no solution? But I also hear the swishing sound of water dripping on the coils in between the gurgles.

Does anyone have any theories? I'm willing to pay myself to get another technician but they always insist on details over the phone.
