I just moved into a brand new condo and I've had trouble sleeping the last couple nights because the fridge is making a high-pitched sound that is a very irritating sound.
My phone does pick up the sound, but I think it's more pronounced in person. It's something I can't possibly make out during the day and "normal noises" happen, but as it quiets down at the end of the evening I feel like it's the only thing I can hear.

It's a fisher paykel fridge and it's brand new. The fridge+freezer is also 99% new. It has a water line for ice maker.
I'm renting this unit, and I don't want to sound crazy to my landlord or anyone else for that matter... but this is really, really bothering me because it's such an irritating sound. Reminds me of those high pitched devices that only young people could hear, so they used them at i.e. malls to deter loitering... ugh!
Edit: I just returned to the fridge and it is currently NOT making the noise - so it is not a constant sound. Something is maybe kicking in and out, and that's when the noise is present? When I heard it I also thought I was hearing a fan going, which sounded like it was operating fine. As I write this, it just kicked in again. It sounded like it was "starting up" the way a car or fan may.
