So I found a 6x6’ Norlake walk-in cooler that’s about three years old for $2500 and spent $80 moving it. Now I have this monster fridge and am regretting it mainly because the lid/compressor was so heavy it took 4 big guys to get it off the top and then they had to tilt it sideways to get it through the door twice, once removing from the site and once delivering to my site.
I need help here, I have a ton of questions: 1) did turning it sideways damage it? 2) can I remove the top box from the ceiling somehow? It’s bolted in a couple places but I couldn’t fathom how it was attached any other way. It’s almost as if the compressor side is just resting on the lid and the fan side is bolted down, they are attached to each other. I wanted to separate those parts into manageable sections but they pipes go through both boxes. I can attach a picture at some point, I’m just desperate to get started on answers. 3) it has a 120/20a plug. I totally didn’t notice that and now wondering if I can use my existing circuits. I will ask an electrician but my third question is, how complicated is this to wire (expensive?)
At this point I’m so overwhelmed I feel like just reselling it but don’t know if I’ve damaged it (see question 1)
Can anyone walk me through this?
