I have a 2006 GE profile fridge (side by side.) The other day I walked into the garage and it smelled like burnt electrical wires. I open the door and notice that lights are out and fridge isn’t cooling anymore.
Checked breaker and it was tripped. Flipped it back on and it tripped again within seconds.
I then went to disconnect the fridge went back out and flipped the breaker back on. Went back in and plugged fridge back in. Lights turned on but were flickering. I also think I heard the motor doing the same thing.
Could it be a fuse?
Too low voltage breaker? It is currently using a 15 amp breaker but I have the option to change it to a 20 amp. The only other thing using that same circuit is an Amazon Alexa and ocasional phone/speaker charger.
Anything else?
Excuse me if I misused some terminology. Obviously electrical work isn’t my thing. Thanks in advance.
