Recently installed the supply line on a ice maker from a rental house. It made ice. What can I use to clean it?

I am talking about a regular refrigerator ice maker not a commercial one. The first batch came out grungy and has been clearing up with more batches. is there a preferred method of sanitizing the ice maker without completely removing it? Is diluted bleach safe?
