Hello. This one is used lightly and been in storage for quite some time. Now I want it back at work. When plugged in I turned the knob to 3, interior cooled down nicely. Gradually increased the setting and at level 7 it worked for 45 minutes non stop till I took it back gradually. After 45 mins at level 7 the interior was 33 degrees which is good but running non stop is insane. I'm fine with 39 f so I tried to lower the setting a bit. At level 3 it works for 26 seconds and rests for 48 seconds. I got tired of waiting after 20 or 30 cycles and turned the unit off. At that point the interior was 47f going up to 48. That's a bit too warm. The ambient temperature is around 85f. Do you think I should have given the unit more time to settle? Do you think it's faulty? And one last question: it's super loud. Do you think I could swap the comp with a quieter one and not pay a fortune for it? Works for 26 seconds and rests for 48 seconds at thermostat level 3. [link] [comments] |
