Hey all,
I'm in Vancouver BC and I'm applying for apprentice positions in the area. I am honestly scared shitless and excited at the same time. I've had social anxiety my entire life and at a point where i have to get over it of risk never pressuring my dreams. I interested in hearing from others about their starts as an apprentice and what i might expect as a helper/installer/parts runner. What wages I should ask for? What the interviews might be like. What being on a installer crew would be like. How working with co-workers, bosses and customers will go. That sort of thing...
Currently I'm registered as an apprentice, I've done my pre-apprenticeship course, I'm booked in to do my level 1 training next year and I've got a year under my belt as an apprentice. I own all my own tools and I have nothing holding me back form moving anywhere in BC.
I feel that on paper I am set up for success but my mind is destroying me with doubts.
