I need to cover the opening at the bottom of my freezer to keep rodents out. I have a metal screen that I can attach with some self tapping screws, but I’m nervous that if I start screwing around I might break something. In the attached picture, I’ve marked where I want to put the screws with red circles. How likely am I to break something if I insert screws at these locations?

Edit: is there anything here that could be damaged by rodents in the first place?
