Cannot find temp sesnor in indesit fridge, think they changed design

I have the indesit fridge freezer model IN C 325 FF.1 and the temp sensor is not where it should be in other models.

After pulling the damn thing apart Not only is the sensor no where to be seen, there is no where it could be put to actually accurately sense the temp. Behind the temp dial there was a control board... have they changed it to no longer sense temperature and just control it direct with the board or something?

I like to fix things myself and this is absolutely killing me. I cant find a single design manual to help me out as they all relate to different models.
