We are mixing the cooling liquid (water) in the Hot well & Cold well (partition is removed). Could this be a major source of energy loss? If not, what else could be the culprit? I am suspecting there is a huge role of ambient to play since whenever the ambient rises to 45°C, the plant output drops (load which could be utilised by plant drops but chiller still operated at 320TR) Details : Chiller Model No: RFIG0957D the above picture shows the line diagram of chiller-plant layout where water is the cooling liquid. I have observed a enthalpy loss of around 65TR for the given values of flow rate and temperatures. Can anybody tell me the possible sources of loss. NOTE : The hot well, cold well partition is removed completely and free to mix ( partial mixing) Any answer would be much appreciated. Thank you [link] [comments] |

Chiller operates at its rated 320TR(Tonnes of Refrigeration) but the plant is getting only a load of 240TR at maximum capacity. What could the causes for this huge loss in power be? [Repost]
