Apprentice Question about reach in cooler R134a

2nd year apprentice here, I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on situation I came across recently. Unit was a True standup cooler with a double cap tube. Unit was temping high due to filter drier restriction. After replacing drier and weighing in new charge I had 18 psi suction, 150 psi head amp draw was good amd about a 17 degree temp drop across the evap coil but superheat was very high at 70F. Thought it would go down once unit pulled down in temp but it didnt. It's possible my pipe clamp is faulty but I dont think it is.

Assuming my pipe clamp is not faulty what could cause such high superheat given my pressures were in the appropriate range?

Any feedback welcome
