Defrost Troubles

Excuse my noobness. I own and operate a company that usually dabbles mainly in light commercial/residential. I'm expanding onto refrigeration, so I got in touch with a local supermarket to take care of their coolers. Long story short I found a leak in the condenser & did a swap out today. It's a BOHN/Heatcraft

I'm having trouble with the defrost timer. We wired it up exactly how the old one was wired & it blew a fuse in the disconnect. After combing through his work and the schematic I found that the schematic is telling me to tie N on the defrost timer to T2 along with the line voltage. It seemed odd to me. Why power to N? I had someone out to help today that works on more of this stuff and even he was stumped. I didn't have any back up fuses and it's a Sunday night so I couldn't get any more to try it again with my new wiring. I'm curious if any of you have experience with this exact situation; I have to have this cooler cold by 8am tomorrow. I'm going to call tech support but I wanted to see what my good friends on reddit have to say. Thanks in advace! Again, I apologize if this seems elementary to many of you but I really appreciate the help. Thanks again.
