I have a Thermocool salad prep fridge. That stopped cooling. It appears the condensor evaporation tray is full of black gunk and has corroded the hot water pipe and potentially stuffed the condensor. We have no idea what the black gunk is or how it got down there. The supplier is refusing to fix it under warranty, citing poor maintenance. This is the first commercial fridge we have owned and when we bought it we werent given a manual or advice on what to do to maintain the fridge or a maintenance schedule, like cleaning filters etc. Paid the money , heres your fridge, see you later. Now we are looking at big $$$ for a new compressor at our own expense on a 1 year old fridge. Do you think we have grounds for appeal at consumer affairs if they refuse warranty?
