Is replacing/repairing walk in cooler/freezer doors normally part of the job as a service technician?

I love working on refrigeration equipment with one exception. The doors. I realize I might sound like a complainer and that's not my nature, which is why I'm considering finding employment elsewhere. The company I work for, from time to time, will have me replace a walk in cooler door, or the hinges, diamond plating, or closures surrounding it. This seems more construction/install or handyman related, not for a service technician. I've had to buy tools I would have otherwise never needed. Because of this I'm considering going with a different company that doesn't do walk in doors but before I do this it might be better to know if this is the norm or not.
