Hey all. I have what may be one of those questions where many of you will till their eyes.
We recently got a new Whirlpool French door fridge that replaced an old and loud unit. The new guy has been freezing a lot of our food in the fridge. Cracking frozen eggs sucks. I've been trying to troubleshoot by adjusting the settings, but it's still happening at 39/02 degrees settings. One thing I saw is that my compressor might not be shutting off, the only problem if that since it is new and also much quieter than the old one, I don't know if the compressor is running or not. There is always a constant fan noise that goes off and turns on again after a door opens and closes. I don't think I've ever heard the fridge get louder than that. I've tried setting the fridge much warmer to see if I can hear it turn off, but the constant fan noise does not stop. I'm guessing the fan noise I'm hearing is to make a vacuum? Does anyone have suggestions for what I should be looking for to troubleshoot? I think my wife will kill somebody of another salad mix freezes. Please help, possibly call the police.
