So I’m a female who has no idea what I’m talking about with maintenance stuff on appliances, so if I sound stupid, that’s why.
Okay so small summary.. I had the fridge that came with the house I bought 4 years ago. Worked fine. Whatever. Then I started noticing that a bunch of my food would get like frost bite on it. My frozen seafood, pizza, frozen bread dough etc. all frost inside the bags. Like enough I had to throw them out. I bought a mini deep freeze to put in the garage and started putting all my meats and stuff in there which helped. But I still had pizza, ice cream, and things I grab more frequently in the house.
So a few months ago, I decided I was tired of it and bought a new Whirlpool fridge that I like a lot. It is a side by side freezer/fridge and has a water filter thing to get fresh water which I love. Anyways, I’ve noticed it’s doing the same thing.
I eat the shit out of Totino’s pizzas (the best) and it always has lots of frost on top I have to scrape off. I just went to get some ice cream and it had frost all over the lid and edges of the inside and the top layer of it was yucky. Like sticky. So I threw it out. Thank goodness I had a whole new tub of ice cream and it looked fairly good.
I have the freezer set on the recommended setting and the fridge one level up from recommendation. I don’t understand what is happening. I’m tired of throwing out food and having damn frost all over my shit. Someone please help!
