Hey y’all. Restaurant manager of like 15 years here. I love what I do, but lately I’ve been thinking about branching out. Not changing careers, just broadening my skill set. I’d like to learn some basics so maybe I could diagnose and fix minor issues myself among our multiple locations, and then eventually maybe develop a side hustle around with other local places.
How does anyone recommend I get started? There’s a few levels of certifications right? Is there a specific class you might recommend. Or even just a series of YouTube videos that could get me going? And what general advice would you have for me?
I feel like Im a pretty smart guy, I can teach myself most anything in time. I have a handful of decent tools such as a multimeter, I have experience sweating copper in the plumbing field.
I’m open to all suggestions and advice. Thanks in advance.
