Freezer cooling temperature swing?

Hope someone can assist here. Our home Samsung freezer got up to 21°F even though the setting is at -2°F. We then put a temperature sensor and physical thermometer in the freezer to monitor the temperate swings. The tech actually found that the bolts of the fridge doors were causing the freezer door not to seal. Easy fix.

Over a 4 hour period, we observed the freezer temperature getting as low as -14°F and as high as 10°F.

Is it normal for a freezers to dip so low then heat so high?

Thanks.
