Can someone help me identify what this "extra" coil/loop assembly is used for, and how it works, that is, if it is not a simply added extra heated/defrost coil? Could it be a sensory system for temperature? Judging by the simple wiring size/colour (same as the obvious copper heating/defrost coil assembly wiring colour, at the bottom of the evaporator assemble) it looks to be just an added defrost coil, but I could be wrong. The coil/loop in question is aluminium, just like the evaporator coil, and not the obvious copper coil that most/all defrost coils are made of. It also does not connect to the compressor, it is a coil/loop unto itself and does not penetrate through the freezer housing. This Fridge/freezer is an LG LFXS30766S French-door 2015 model if that helps identify the system in question. Thanks [link] [comments] |
