I don't know if I have the right thread, but a month or two ago a can of diet coke violently exploded in the freezer. I cleaned it up and for awhile, I would still see black/brown flecks on the ice cube trays. I've wiped the freezer down, cleaned old stuff out and now the freezer and fridge have this gross stale smell. It's not food, just stale. And almost the faint smell of the soda. I've put a baking soda box in the freezer and fridge, but it's still there and really grossing me out since I have a heightened sense of smell. Any thoughts? It's driving me crazy and making it hard to eat stuff in there. Help! Lol
