Hello,I need to cool down about 90 liters of closed volume and for the purpose I consider to modify a 120L kitchen refrigerator (actually to use its compressor keeping its parameters) but I'm not sure about some of the changes. May someone answer the following questions please?
- Can I change the condenser with a copper pipe with the same diameter and length, but coiled in a different way. I need it much more compact and suppose that I need to cool it by a fan to compensate for the worsened heat transfer.
- I need to change the evaporator with a copper pipe too. But as the evaporators are usually some aluminium plates with unknown diameter of the pipes and they have some branching of the line, how to decide what length and diameter I need?
- I need to put the evaporator in a container with water that I want to keep it somewhere betwen 2 and let say 5 degrees. Will this temperature of the water change something in the refrigeration cycle?
- Are the placement (height above the compressor) and the shape of the cooler and the evaporator important and need to be considered?
Of course, I won't make the changes by myself, but it will be good to know these thinks before I decide to start the project. Thanks!
