I was called out today for a scotsman 500lb/day water cooled unit not making ice and erroring out with the refrigeration light.
On power up it starts freeze cycle briefly and then switches to harvest like normal. But during this initial harvest cycle it's heating up the water to 130f.
The first full freeze cycle fails to finish in time, the 2nd freeze made ice but the harvest again heated up the water. (Harvest ran full 7 minutes, didn't detect ice fall)
I cleaned the fall sensor 'eyeballs' and restarted the machine, but again the initial power on harvest cycle heated the water up again.
I think it may have bad fall sensors, but i don't remember having a unit that heated up the water like this before.
Thoughts?
